1. Has absolute control over the party. No dissidents. No alternate power structure.
2. Takes great care in the party structure and machinery, supporting organizations, party members, facilities etc. - up to the grass roots level. Party members simply love and adore her.
3. Plans and executes well on most of the political events - elections, meetings, roadshows etc.
4. Choice of candidates for assembly and loksabha elections is done in a thorough and professional manner - though newcomers, most of the candidates will be well known in the local area. People doing good party work will be rewarded.
5. She is good in languages, well read and knowledgeable.
6. She is a good writer in Tamil - authored at least one novel. Was a regular writer in the yesteryear Tamil weekly by the name "Thai”.
7. In the male dominated Dravidian politics, she was able to steer ahead of the opponents (in the early days of her entry into the party) both within and outside the party by her sheer determination and grit.
8. Planning and execution of socially relevant popular schemes like Amma Canteen etc.
9. Has a good team of advisors of state officials - IAS/IPS level officers advising her on crucial issues.
